Fellowship-Trained Cornea Specialist/Surgeon
Dr. Kevin Cronin joined the Bowden Eye team in August 2017. He was born and raised in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and his Doctor of Medicine from Wake Forest University. Dr. Cronin then went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Corneal Associates of New Jersey.
Dr. Cronin specializes in cataract surgery, corneal transplant surgery, and laser vision correction. He also provides general ophthalmic care with a focus on management of disorders of the cornea.
He has presented at national meetings and has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals. During his fellowship he participated in a medical mission trip to the Philippines in which he performed cataract and corneal transplant surgeries.
Dr. Cronin enjoys traveling and has interest in future mission trips. He also likes playing sports, working out, walking on the beach, discovering delicious new foods, and ballroom dancing.
